Handling
Green anoles are small, charming lizards, which makes them appealing to hold. However, because of their small size, as well as their ability to move quickly, it is not recommended that they be held. In addition, green anoles can lose their tails quite easily, an event that is most likely to occur when they are touched. This is why green anoles often do not make good pets for children, as young pet owners are usually very interested in touching and holding their pets. As difficult as it might be, try to leave your anole in his cage as much as possible. If you must lift him, do so with great care, and be sure to thoroughly wash your hands before and after handling him.
